Having a baby is quite an adventure! It’s such an amazing experience, but at the same time very overwhelming. There’s so much to do and learn and you need all these little things to take care of your baby. As first-time parents, we wish we had known all that we know now before our baby was born. We thought we were doing a pretty good job, but are now realizing some things are overlooked. But no worries, it can be done! For many of these items, it's a question of what you'll want or need. It's a matter of personal preference and your baby's needs.

Here are our favorite things for newborns:

Baby Carrier:

A carrier is essential for keeping your hands free while you care for your newborn. Options range from wraps that cradle newborns to soft structured carriers that adjust as your baby grows.

Hats:

Keep their heads warm when they nap in their car seat or stroller with a hat. Choose one with a brim to keep the sun out of their eyes during outdoor playtime in warmer weather. This can be a cute and stylish accessory and protect their little heads from the sun.

Socks:

Newborns' feet are so tiny, so stick to the tiniest socks you can find. If your baby is born in the wintertime, they will need some booties. These will prevent their feet from becoming cold and getting chapped. Socks are great for cold weather or when you go outside. They fit well under the smallest shoes, and they will keep their feet warm when it is time to head out.

Blankets:
